The Persian Gulf, as one of the water borders of Iran, has been considered a strategic region for all centuries. The importance of this region in the various developments of Iranian history can be clearly seen; In different periods, the political, economic and social structure of Iran has been influenced by its geopolitical and geostrategic features. On the other hand, the Persian Gulf, as a geopolitical region located in one of the most important sea routes, has special importance and features not only in Asia but all over the world. Therefore, this privileged position has caused the dawn of the history of colonial and expansionist rivalries of the dominating states to be always considered; And in recent years, due to the great importance of oil production, the world's industrial powers have become more aware of the region. In this study, while explaining the Persian Gulf region, we intend to examine the policies of supra-regional powers.
